ct scan and another oncology follow up...plus a graduation of sorts.

on 12/4 -- i had a ct scan. this one went pretty much the same as all others. however, my system is no liking the contrast they use and i am having to spend some "quiet time" in the restroom after my appointment. well nothing like a good colon cleansing...just another bonus of having been through cancer treatment.....oh boy!

on 12/12 -- i had my oncology follow up. we went over the ct results. everything looks good. labs came back fine. general checkup was good. these visits have turned into a standard routine of getting poked, prodded, and spiked (for the blood draw), and then going over the results. don't get me wrong, i am glad that the results are always the same....everything is good...nothing to worry about...BUT it does become somewhat tedious going every 3 months and having the same appointment over and over.

now for a bit of really good news (and something to help these appointments not be soooo tedious), i have graduated (in a sense) to the next phase of my follow up care. starting with this appointment, i will now go back every 6 months instead of every 3 months. HOORAY!!!! finally my appointments are starting to be pushed out farther and farther.........then starting in may 2008, as long as my scan comes back clean, my scans will be pushed out to 1 per year.
