catching up on past posts...

I will try to catch up my missing entries in the next couple of days. Overall things have been going well, just VERY busy. I feel pretty much back to my old self, except I get tired faster and I seem to never get enough sleep (I always feel tired).

On the home front, things are crazy busy --

Kennedy is having a great 4th grade year. She made the performance/competition team at her dance school (called Petite Company). So her week include 3 dance classes one night, and two another night -- this adds up to 4.5 hours of dance class each week. She is also attending an afterschool program 1 day a week too PLUS Taekwondo twice a week, so she has a full week.

Damon just finished his football season. He had a blast. He was selected as one of the team captains and played a few different positions, including back-up quarterback. Other than football, he seems to be staying on top of his other responsibilities fairly well, while still having a little time to kick back and relax. One major change for him, we just got him hooked up with internet access in his room, so he is one majorly happy camper.

CJ seems to be settling into college life OK. He is going to school full-time and working at the local Jimmy Johns Subs (which he thoroughly enjoys). He is feeling very independent, living in his apartment with three roommates, working, going to school, and most importantly -- PAYING HIS OWNS BILLS. Welcome to the real world! It is funny to hear his comments about things that he had always taken for granted, but now has to provide for himself. He sounds so grown-up at times, and like such a vulnerable kids at others. It is very interesting and rewarding experiencing his "coming or age" as a young adult.

Zebbi has been burning the candle at both ends AND in the middle. Not only is this the start of her busiest time at work, she is teaching at the dance school one night each week, AND she is performing with a local theater group on their current show, Smokey Joe's Cafe -- she only has a small part but she still has to go to every rehearsal, run through, and help with various backstage work. She is really enjoying it, so hopefully it continues to be manageable and fit into her schedule.

Overall, things are going pretty well. Thankfully, it seems we are in for a good year.
